Πιάνω τον εαυτό μου να κάνει σχέδια, να θέτει υποσχέσεις για την επερχόμενη χρονιά.
Γελάω με τη φαυλότητά μου, διότι υποσυνείδητα γνωρίζω ότι τα σχέδια αυτά είναι καμωμένα από λευκή κιμωλία, μη ανεξίτηλη. Και εν τέλει θα απομείνουν μόνο τα ίχνη της.
Δεν με ενοχλεί όμως. Η εσωτερική αυτή διεργασία μου αρκεί.

Η πόλη αυτή με καταπνίγει, με αρπάζει και με σπρώχνει προς τα μέσα,
με συρρικνώνει με μια αβάσταχτη συνέπεια.
Σε απόσταση μόλις λίγων στιγμών μετά, η ίδια αυτή αίσθηση με εφησυχάζει.

Ακόμα αντηχούσαν τα λόγια της:
"μη φοβάσαι. δεν έχει τέλος, συνέχισε απρόσκοπτα".
Την είχε πιστέψει. Δεν τον ενδιέφερε άλλωστε η αλήθεια, παρά μόνο η δική της εκδοχή.
Το τέλος όμως, απροειδοποίητα, είχε φτάσει, και έμεινε αυτός να στέκει στο χείλος, ευθυτενής.
Έφτιαξε το βελούδινο σακάκι του και με μια γνήσια περιφρονητική κίνηση, όπως αρμόζει σε έναν δανδή, έκανε το βήμα· το βήμα στο κενό...

ότι δεν έχει επαφή με την απτή πραγματικότητα.
Κάποιος που παλεύει μόνος του, κάποιος που ατέρμονα προσπαθεί.





 Sean Ragon has been active in the DIY punk, industrial and experimental music communities on the east coast for over 15 years while also running a record store and label in Brooklyn (Heaven Street and Blind Prophet Records, respectively). He has been recording under the moniker of Cult of Youth for the last five years.
